IT Business/Functional Analyst - Brussels

My client is a leading utilities company in Brussels. They are committed to delivering exceptional solutions to their clients and driving innovation in their industry. As they expand their operations, they are seeking a talented and experienced IT Business/Functional Analyst with a passion for solving complex problems. Fluency in either French and or Dutch with a good command/understanding of the other is a requirement for this role.

As an IT Business/Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for optimizing various applications within their business. You will play a key role in gathering requirements, creating user stories, leading workshops, facilitating trainings for end users, defining user stories, and prioritizing them. Your ability to communicate effectively in both French and Dutch will be crucial in engaging with stakeholders across the wider business.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with HR, operations, and IT stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear and concise user stories, ensuring they align with industry best practices and regulatory compliance.
• Lead workshops and facilitate discussions with cross-functional teams to gather insights and define efficient solutions.
• Prioritize user stories and ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
• Engage with end users to understand their needs, provide training sessions, and ensure effective adoption of the workforce management system.
• Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure accurate implementation of user stories and functional requirements.
• Perform thorough testing and validation of developed functionalities to ensure they meet business requirements and deliver expected outcomes.
• Assist in system deployment activities, including user training, documentation, and change management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an IT Business/Functional Analyst.
• Fluency in French and or Dutch is mandatory, along with proficiency in English.
• Knowledge of workforce management solutions, including resource planning, and scheduling is a plus.
• Demonstrated experience in gathering requirements, creating user stories, and prioritizing them.
• Ability to lead workshops and facilitate discussions with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience in conducting training sessions and providing support to end users.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.
• Proficiency in documenting requirements, functional specifications, and process flows using industry-standard tools.
• Familiarity with workforce management software and platforms (e.g., SAP PM, Microsoft PS is highly desirable.
