Salesforce Developer



The Salesforce Developer at this company supports this growing community bank and works closely with all lines of business to solve problems and come up with solutions. The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for developing new Salesforce capabilities to service internal users as well as enhancing existing features and applications for Salesforce. This position will help offer premier customer service to our customers.

Education, Training and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field normally required. Equivalent work experience would be considered.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Salesforce development preferred. Experience across Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, with Financial Services Cloud a plus.
  • Web development experience required.
  • Experience and expertise in core web technologies including HTML5, JavaScript, and CSS.
  • Knowledge of Salesforce permissions, roles, reports, dashboards, and logical formulas.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment.
  • Self-motivated and creative.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience in developing in APEX.
  • Experience in Visualforce development.
  • Experience in developing and utilizing Lightning web components.
  • Experience in migrating data and customizations across Salesforce environments.
  • Experience with SOQL and building SOQL queries.
  • Experience with Web services, APIs, and integrations. Mulesoft experience and certification preferred.
  • Current Salesforce certifications (e.g. App Builder, Platform Developer I desired. Platform Developer II preferred)
  • Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD concepts.
  • Strong attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks.

Essential Duties:
  • Develop solutions within the Salesforce FSC Lightning platform and Experience (Community) Cloud to support critical business functions and meet project objectives, business requirements, and company goals.
  • Implement and maintain Salesforce customizations such as custom fields and objects, page layouts, workflows, process builder, and validation rules.
  • Develop intuitive UI using Visualforce, JavaScript, and Lightning technologies.
  • Communicate effectively within a cross-functional team and ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing, and deployment.
  • Articulate the benefits and risks to a solution's feasibility and functionality. Guide users in formulating requirements, advise on alternatives and on the implications of new or revised processing analysis.
  • Maintain a flexible and proactive work environment to facilitate a quick response to changing project requirements and customer objectives and innovate ways to meet business goals successfully.
  • Working with Team Lead, translate business requirements into creative and well-architected solutions that best leverage the Salesforce platform and products.
  • Apply best practices and design patterns of best-of-breed applications developed on the platform.
  • Participate in the planning and analysis of business requirements for system changes and enhancements, development, and installation of upgrades and new releases.
  • Develop and validate code according to coding standards and utilizing unit tests for initial validation. Responsible for resolving issues with solutions identified by other testers.
  • Provide on-call support to resolve application issues.
  • Create and execute unit, integration, and user acceptance test plans, including use cases and test data.
  • Maintain code in source control system and assist with the administration of DevOps processes.
  • Integrate multiple systems with Salesforce, including internal proprietary and third-party applications using existing APIs and developing APIs as required utilizing Mulesoft.
  • Provide integration and web programming assistance with current CMS.
