Since 2020, the Digital Revolution Awards have highlighted the real progress being made across the tech ecosystem.

With the latest iteration of the awards fast approaching, and the window for nominations set to close next week, we’re taking a look back on the short but rich history of the awards to find out the story so far.

Six years of highlighting the best

The Digital Revolution Awards is now in its sixth year, but its focus remains simple: to shine a light on the organizations and people that deliver these innovative and needle-moving results.

The awards bring together independent judges from vendors, partners, and end user organizations to submissions from across the world. These nominations are carefully reviewed and adjudicated to spotlight those driving meaningful digital transformation in every corner of the tech ecosystem.

65 winners from the UK alone

Sixty-five winners have been named in the UK-focused awards alone, with countless more businesses from across the globe snagging their own awards in the global ceremony.

We’ve handed awards to the likes of the BBC, Durham Police, Defra, CloudSource, and a whole multitude of incredible individuals doing amazing work in the tech space.

16 award categories

The awards now span multiple categories that honour individuals, teams, and organizations making notable contributions to cloud innovation, sustainability, DEI, partnership excellence, and customer impact.

From the Digital Transformation Project of the Year category, which recognizes work that revolutionizes how an organization operates or serves customers, to the Tech for Good
award, which highlights projects that deliver direct social or environmental benefit through technology, there’s a category for everyone.

More than 1,000 ceremony attendees

More than a thousand people have attended the in-person United Kingdom shows, making the ceremony one of the most well-attended events of its kind.

These dazzling ceremonies have brought together finalists, past winners, sponsors, and partners in some of the most glamorous venues and biggest cities in the world, building community and creating opportunities for new connections.

Previous ceremony hosts have included leading comedians Tom Allen and Romesh Ranganathan, adding star power and entertainment to the celebrations.

Over £25,000 raised for charity

Since the advent of the awards, more than £25,000 has been raised for the event’s chosen charity, St. Martin’s School in Nairobi. So when you take part in the Digital Revolution Awards, you’re helping drive change.

The students at St. Martin’s School in Kibagare live in one of Nairobi’s most challenging neighbourhoods. Many families face severe poverty, limited access to clean water and sanitation, and few educational options. The school gives them more than just classes. It provides meals, a safe space, and ultimately an environment where learning is possible and a different future can be achieved.

The school also works with the broader community. Parents receive support through empowerment programs so they can generate income and stabilize their family situation. This wider approach means the children’s learning is backed by better home support.

By supporting the awards, you’re contributing to this important work. Funds raised help with infrastructure, computers, schoolteachers, nutritious meals, and the overall improvement of the student experience.

Money raised through the awards also helps deliver technology resources for the school, giving students the tools and resources needed to build crucial digital skills that will assist their long-term development.

The 2026 awards ceremony will also be raising funds for Teenage Cancer Trust, supporting their crucial work to improve the experience of young people fighting cancer.

Big things on the horizon

The next Digital Revolution Awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday, 22 April at London’s prestigious Royal Lancaster Hotel. This venue has hosted some of the UK’s most high-profile events, offering an impressive backdrop as finalists, partners, judges, and industry leaders come together to celebrate achievements from across the global cloud community.

Further details about presenters, partners, and programming will follow, but the event promises to deliver the energy, inspiration, and celebration that attendees have come to expect.
