Hannover’s most famous attraction are the Herrenhausen Gardens. Over 300 years old, these gardens are recognized as some of the most distinguished baroque formal gardens in all of Europe!

Marienburg Castle

Built by King George V for his wife in the mid-19th century, this fairy tale castle rests beautifully on a hilltop overlooking the town. Hop on a guided tour through this historical treasure to get a glimpse into the lifestyle of the royal residents who once called the castle home.

Marktkirche

The Marktkirche (“The Church at the Marketplace”) was originally built in the 14th century and rebuilt in 1952. It’s still used for worship to this day and is the main Protestant church of Hannover.  The medieval structure is a prime example of Germany’s brick gothic tradition.
