SCOPING:- Lead client-facing discovery sessions focusing on technical communication, strategy, and data architecture.
- Serve as the primary engineer for complex projects, determining the technical approach.
- Develop, update, and manage comprehensive backlogs with clearly defined requirements for up to 5 clients concurrently, collaborating with teammates. Accountable for work quality and teammate support.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to facilitate communication between clients and internal project teams, ensuring alignment on issues/features being worked on.
- Provide thought leadership on client support requests and address underlying root causes.
- Map complex business processes, design Salesforce architecture, and create automation to support them.
- Break down ambiguous client problems for easy understanding by clients and junior teammates.
- Analyze and mitigate risk.
BUILDING:- Build high-quality features and fixes in Salesforce for clients, ensuring timely delivery and long-term viability.
- Lead teammates in configuring Salesforce to meet and exceed client needs.
- Integrate Salesforce with third-party tools, including email marketing tools, online forms, and payment processors.
- Manage data, including migration, mapping, cleanup, and manipulation, in collaboration with teammates.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in client instances.
- Provide deep technical knowledge and configuration expertise in Nonprofit Cloud, NPSP, and commonly used tools.
- Enhance system and data quality through effective design, maintenance, and security.
TRAINING:- Train client staff on Salesforce features both in person and virtually.
- Design comprehensive testing and training plans for clients and teammates.
- Oversee system rollouts for client success and comprehensive user adoption.
- Coach and mentor junior teammates.
- Define and refine technical best practices.
- Guide teammates in adopting new technologies and navigating Salesforce releases.
- Fuel personal and professional development through continuous learning about software, the nonprofit field, and personal growth. Resources provided for advancement.
Experience: - 4+ years of experience in specializing in Salesforce for Nonprofit organizations.
- 2+ years in a Salesforce Consultant capacity
- Possession of Salesforce Admin certification and Nonprofit Cloud certification (additional Salesforce certifications are advantageous).
- Capability and enthusiasm for occasional travel to client offices or team meetings (typically 1-2 times annually).
- Salesforce Developer experience is beneficial, but not mandatory. While coding is not the primary focus, proficiency in Apex + Javascript is appreciated when required.
- Scrum certifications (Certified Scrum Master or Certified Product Owner) are advantageous but not obligatory.
