
Data Integration Engineer (MuleSoft)
Position Summary
We are seeking a
Data Integration Engineer with strong MuleSoft experience to support the development, administration, and optimization of enterprise integration solutions. This role will focus on managing the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, supporting Salesforce-centric integrations, and ensuring secure, reliable connectivity between Salesforce and internal/external systems.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with MuleSoft administration, API integrations, Salesforce connectivity, secure file transfers, and CI/CD processes. This position will play a key role in maintaining integration reliability, troubleshooting complex issues, and supporting a highly available integration ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain MuleSoft flows and APIs within an Agile development environment
- Administer and support MuleSoft Anypoint Platform environments, including CloudHub runtimes, VPCs, DLBs, and VPN connections
- Develop and support Salesforce integrations using API-led connectivity patterns (System, Process, and Experience APIs)
- Configure Salesforce integration components, including Connected Apps, OAuth settings, Named Credentials, and API gateways
- Support CI/CD pipelines and deployments across development, QA, UAT, and production environments
- Manage integration security, including certificates, secrets, encryption, access controls, and environment configurations
- Maintain and support SFTP environments, including user accounts, SSH keys, folder permissions, and secure file transfer processes
- Monitor integrations, troubleshoot failures, and perform root cause analysis to improve system reliability
- Support scheduled and event-driven data processing workflows between Salesforce and external systems
- Utilize monitoring tools such as Anypoint Monitoring, CloudHub logs, and Salesforce monitoring capabilities to maintain operational visibility
- Identify opportunities to improve integration performance, scalability, and resiliency
- Maintain technical documentation and follow integration governance and security best practices
- Collaborate with developers, architects, business teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver reliable integration solutions
Required Skills & Experience
- 3+ years of hands-on MuleSoft Anypoint Platform administration experience
- Experience supporting Salesforce integrations and API configurations
- Strong understanding of API security, authentication methods, and integration best practices
- Experience managing SFTP environments, including SSH keys, secure file transfers, and permissions
- Experience with Git-based version control and CI/CD deployment processes
- Knowledge of MuleSoft runtime operations and troubleshooting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose integration issues
- Ability to create technical documentation and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
- MuleSoft Administrator certification
- Salesforce certifications
- Experience with Databricks or modern data warehousing platforms
- Experience supporting enterprise-scale integration environments
