My customer is a leading technology consulting firm delivering multi-cloud and quote-to-cash transformation projects for clients in high-tech, manufacturing, financial services, retail, and healthcare. They're currently seeking a Senior MuleSoft Consultant (Contract) to take on an exciting new project.

Position Summary

My customer is seeking a Senior MuleSoft Consultant (Contract) with at least five (5) years of hands-on experience implementing MuleSoft solutions and designing integration architectures.

This role combines both development and architecture responsibilities, focusing on designing modern API-led integration patterns and building robust solutions using MuleSoft's Anypoint Platform. The engagement is remote with occasional onsite collaboration and involves close work with stakeholders, integration teams, and other cloud specialists (including Salesforce).

Key Responsibilities

Integration Strategy & Architecture

  • Analyze client systems and identify integration opportunities.

  • Define integration patterns, security models, and data governance standards.

  • Create scalable architecture designs that ensure performance and reliability.

Solution Design & Development

  • Build and configure integration flows using Anypoint Studio, DataWeave, API Manager, and Runtime Manager.

  • Develop REST/SOAP APIs, transformations, and error-handling logic.

  • Implement reusable components and connectors to integrate Salesforce and other systems.

API Management

  • Design and manage APIs, applying access control, rate limiting, and security policies.

  • Configure monitoring and logging to ensure operational stability.

Testing & Quality Assurance

  • Create and execute unit, integration, and performance tests.

  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and deploy fixes.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner with business analysts, Salesforce consultants, and data teams to define technical solutions.

  • Mentor junior developers and promote best practices in code quality and architecture.

  • Support deployment and provide post-implementation optimization.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years delivering MuleSoft integrations. Proven success in enterprise-grade integration design and implementation.

  • Technical Skills: Strong expertise in the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, API-led architecture, REST/SOAP, JMS, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).

  • Design & Architecture: Skilled at creating scalable integration strategies and documentation. Familiar with OAuth, JWT, SSL, and data governance best practices.

  • Cross-Platform Integration: Experience connecting MuleSoft with Salesforce, ERP, or other enterprise systems.

  • Communication & Leadership: Excellent stakeholder communication and mentoring experience.

  • Certification: MuleSoft developer/architect certifications (MCD-Level 1/2, MCPA) preferred; Salesforce certifications a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Git, Jenkins, Azure DevOps).

  • Familiarity with DevOps, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and automated testing frameworks.

  • Knowledge of AI/analytics integrations or low-code/no-code automation tools.

Why Join This Project

Impactful Work: Support major enterprises in modernizing their systems through API-driven, cloud-first integration strategies.
Diverse Engagements: Gain exposure to multiple industries, from financial services to healthcare and manufacturing.
Collaborative Culture: Work with a forward-thinking consulting team that values innovation, empowerment, and continuous learning.
Mission-Driven: Partner with an organization committed to social responsibility and measurable client success.
