We are hiring a Database Engineering Manager to lead the analytics engineering function with a strong focus on Salesforce data architecture, reporting, and integrations. This role owns the strategy, design, and delivery of the data platform that supports Salesforce and multiple downstream systems.
You will manage a small analytics team, partner closely with software and Salesforce engineering teams, and make architectural decisions that determine how Salesforce data is modeled, integrated, governed, and consumed across the organization.
This role requires hands-on technical leadership, strong Salesforce data expertise, and the ability to operate autonomously. Priorities are speed, security, and stability-in that order when tradeoffs arise.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and develop a team of data analysts focused on Salesforce reporting, dashboards, and data modeling
Own Salesforce data architecture, including schema design, object modeling, and downstream warehouse structures
Design and maintain scalable data models that support Salesforce Sales Cloud reporting and analytics
Partner with Salesforce developers and software engineers on data integrations, ETL/ELT pipelines, and source system changes
Integrate Salesforce with internal proprietary systems and third-party applications via APIs and data pipelines
Optimize Salesforce-driven data pipelines for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency
Establish and enforce standards for Salesforce data quality, access controls, documentation, and governance
Support executive, sales, and operations reporting built on Salesforce data
Translate business requirements from sales and operations stakeholders into scalable Salesforce data solutions
Ensure proper handling of sensitive data and compliance requirements related to Salesforce and customer data
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a related technical role
2+ years of experience managing or technically leading a team
Strong experience working with Salesforce data at scale, including:

Hands-on experience integrating Salesforce data into a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake or Azure Data Warehouse preferred)
Advanced SQL skills and strong understanding of data modeling concepts
Experience with BI tools consuming Salesforce data (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker)
Familiarity with ETL/ELT and integration tools (Airflow, Azure Data Factory, Airbyte, or similar)
Experience with Salesforce data governance, PII handling, and access control strategies
Ability to clearly communicate technical Salesforce concepts to non-technical stakeholders
