Digital Marketing Performance & Insights Lead - Hybrid - London



Summary

The organisation that I am working with is a leading provider of consulting services. They're keen on introducing an analytically minded and detail orientated expert to support their digital marketing team. A big part of this role would be to report on ROI on marketing campaigns across channels as well as leveraging data from their website.



The day to day:

A key part of this role would be to collect and consolidate data from web analytics, Pardot marketing automation, and Salesforce CRM to form extensive performance data sets. The day to day would also include ROI reporting for marketing campaign KPIs etc. Focusing on metrics that reflect impact such as lead gen, conversion rates, revenue attribution, and cost per customer acquisition.



Key Skills:
  • Previous experience in a data analytics-focused role, with an emphasis on digital marketing analytics.
  • Experience with Salesforce Analytics, Google Analytics, and other analytics tools such as PowerBI or Tableau is advantageous but not essential.
  • Exceptional data analysis skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present data and insights in a clear, concise manner.

Role Overview



We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will lead client workshops, design and configure Marketing Cloud solutions, and manage integration with external systems. You will work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver high-quality implementations that achieve measurable results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead client workshops and training sessions to ensure successful adoption of Marketing Cloud.
  • Gather and document business and technical requirements, producing detailed specifications with effort estimates.
  • Design and configure Salesforce Marketing Cloud components, including Email Studio, Journey Builder, and Contact Builder.
  • Build and maintain integration with external systems (FTP, Salesforce, API).
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and exceptional quality.


What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Web Studio, Cloud Pages, Journey Builder).
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, and Marketing Cloud development (AMP script).
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to manage client expectations.
  • Conscientious, proactive, and able to prioritise effectively.


Desirable Skills

  • Experience with Datorama, Marketing Cloud API, Mobile Studio, and Interaction Studio.
  • Knowledge of Sales Cloud and Service Cloud.

The Role

As the Salesforce Marketing & Data Cloud Lead, you will take ownership of the end-to-end architecture, design, and delivery of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud & Agentforce across the global Salesforce estate.

You will play a key role in ensuring customer data is unified, actionable, and powering personalised multi-channel journeys. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, global marketing teams, technical architects, and SI partners to drive best-in-class customer engagement and data-driven marketing strategies.



Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and delivery of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Agentforce and Data Cloud solutions within a complex greenfield implementation.
  • Define scalable customer data strategies and ensure effective integration with Data Cloud (formerly Genie/CDP).
  • Collaborate with technical architects, developers, and marketing stakeholders to design and implement personalised customer journeys across email, SMS, push, and other channels.
  • Oversee segmentation, audience management, consent management, and real-time decisioning via Data Cloud.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Marketing Cloud modules including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, Mobile Studio, Advertising Studio, and Interaction Studio (Personalisation).
  • Ensure data compliance and governance are embedded into marketing practices, in line with GDPR and other global regulations.
  • Liaise with global teams to drive adoption and rollout of new marketing capabilities across multiple markets.
  • Evaluate and onboard new Salesforce innovations as part of the roadmap.
  • Manage vendor and partner relationships to ensure high-quality implementation delivery.




Skills & Experience

Required:
  • Proven experience leading large-scale Salesforce Marketing Cloud implementations.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP), including data ingestion, modelling, and activation.
  • Solid understanding of customer data architecture, data privacy, and consent management.
  • Experience with multi-channel journey orchestration and campaign execution.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in a global, cross-functional environment.
  • Ability to translate marketing goals into scalable technical solutions.
  • Experience working in agile delivery teams or a hybrid agile/waterfall model

  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Marketing Cloud Consultant, Data Cloud Consultant, Admin, or Architect-level certifications).
  • Experience within a global B2C brand, retail, or consumer-facing digital business.

The Day To Day



In this role, you will own and lead the architecture, deployment, and maintenance of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Data Cloud projects, ensuring alignment with business goals. Another big part of this role would be to provide technical leadership for the integration of Marketing Cloud, Data Cloud, and integration to other systems (CRM, analytics, data management), ensuring seamless data flow across platforms. As well as this, you will spend time working with clients to help them with project road mapping, as well as taking on other more functional responsibilities.



The Key Skills
  • Proven experience in working on the delivery of Salesforce Marketing Cloud and/or Data Cloud projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of Marketing Cloud modules (e.g., Journey Builder, Email Studio, Automation Studio) and Data Cloud capabilities (e.g., data unification, identity resolution, segmentation), with direct experience in Data Cloud
  • Hands-on experience with integrations between Salesforce platforms (Marketing Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud) and external systems (eCommerce, CRM, analytics).
  • Experience with automation tools, APIs, and scripting languages (e.g., AMPscript, SQL, JavaScript).
