The Role
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will take ownership of the design, development, and optimisation of our Salesforce environment, with a particular focus on Salesforce CPQ. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions that support business growth and improve user experience.
This is a fully remote role open to candidates based in the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of Salesforce solutions, including Salesforce CPQ
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Design and implement scalable, maintainable Salesforce architectures
- Customise Salesforce using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative tools
- Manage CPQ configuration, pricing rules, product bundles, and quote templates
- Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Support integrations with third-party systems and APIs
- Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and emerging technologies
Key Requirements
- Proven experience as a Salesforce Developer in a senior or lead capacity
- Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce CPQ (current or prior)
- Expertise in Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWC)
- Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices
- Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD pipelines
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholders
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II) are highly desirable
Desirable Experience
- Experience within the education sector or similar mission-driven organisations
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience with other Salesforce products (e.g., Service Cloud, Experience Cloud)
