
Job Description
Success in the role:
Lead administrative oversight in Marketing Cloud ensuring strong governance and execution of best practices
Consult on best practices for the technical set up of marketing automation platforms, journey builds, lead generation,
data integration workflows, data hygiene and maintenance
Apply technical and business knowledge to identify, analyze and solve problems
Provide technical leadership and consulting support for large implementations
Coach and mentor engineering team; Use tools and methods such as proof-of-concept to assess alternate solutions to
help ensure the team proceeds with the right solutions
Proven experience building solutions in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Salesforce Sales/Service Clouds utilizing
Marketing Cloud Connect
Familiarity with Salesforce Marketing Cloud multi-org account configuration and functionality
Develop and modify application components across disparate platforms and technologies
Work closely with the development team to make sure best practices are followed; Coach and mentor engineering team
Drive technical development, expertise and support
Study/implement new Salesforce features and capabilities that integrate to mobility solutions to enhance user
productivity
Conduct development life cycle reviews as required, driving IIS best practices (e.g. design, documentation, quality)
Support Practice team governance of implementation and architectural standards, and escalate concerns that may
introduce non-conformance, performance / stability issues, or un-managed risks
Integrate vendor solutions and interfaces for medium to highly complex situations
You bring and will continuously build upon the following skills:
Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant certification
Nice to have:
Marketing Cloud Developer and Sales Cloud certifications
Experience developing junior team members and a passion for growing staff within the organization
An entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within a rapidly changing startup environment; you love the challenge of
working on a small team and being part of a larger movement to change the engineering culture of an enterprise
A desire to continuously learn and build salesforce skills through trailhead and training as needed
Knowledge of AMPScript, SSJS, HTML, CSS, and REST and SOAP APIs as it relates to Marketing Cloud is required
Strong understanding of Agile Principles and knowledge of tools like JIRA, Confluence is an asset
You will be working with development teams that use Salesforce and other similar technologies, and content
development and digital analytics teams. This role supports business teams including Product Owners supporting define
and prioritize user stories.
