We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Salesforce Marketing Consultant to lead the roll out, optimisation, and long‑term ownership of our marketing automation ecosystem. This is a hands‑on technical role suited to someone who thrives on building scalable systems, solving complex data challenges, and enabling marketing teams to deliver personalised, automated customer journeys.

You will be responsible for implementing a new marketing automation platform (Salesforce Marketing Cloud), integrating it across the business, and ensuring it becomes a core driver of customer engagement. This is a rare opportunity to take full ownership of an end‑to‑end automation function from day one.

Key Responsibilities



  • Lead the end‑to‑end implementation of a new Salesforce based marketing automation system.


  • Architect, build, and maintain automated customer journeys, lifecycle campaigns, and triggered communications.


  • Integrate marketing automation with Salesforce CRM, internal systems, and third‑party tools.


  • Own data flows, segmentation logic, and audience management, ensuring accuracy and compliance.


  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, data schemes, and automation frameworks.


  • Partner with marketing, sales, and customer service teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.


  • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously optimise automation workflows.


  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and industry specific regulations relevant to the housing sector.


  • Provide training, support, and best‑practice guidance to internal teams.


  • Act as the technical authority for all marketing automation related decisions.

Required Skills & Experience



  • Proven experience implementing and managing Salesforce Marketing Cloud.


  • Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM, data models, and API integrations.


  • Hands on experience with:


    • SQL for segmentation and data manipulation


    • HTML/CSS for email template development


    • Journey Builder / Automation Studio (or equivalents)


    • Data extensions, contact models, and audience segmentation


  • Ability to design and deliver complex, multi step automated journeys.


  • Experience working with large data sets and ensuring data quality.


  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.


  • Excellent communication skills and the confidence to act as the technical lead for marketing automation.
