    Job description

    Salesforce Solution Architect
    Employment Type: Full-Time

    About the Opportunity

We're looking for a seasoned Salesforce Solution Architect to join a mission-driven technology team focused on transforming nonprofit and public sector organizations. In this strategic leadership role, you'll shape innovative Salesforce-based ecosystems that help organizations streamline operations, better serve their communities, and scale their impact.

You'll play a pivotal role in designing, advising, and overseeing the technical delivery of Salesforce solutions-primarily built on NPSP (Nonprofit Success Pack) and Nonprofit Cloud. If you thrive at the intersection of technology, human-centered design, and meaningful work, we'd love to connect.

    What You'll Do

    • Serve as the lead technical architect on client projects, with full ownership over the design and implementation strategy.

    • Collaborate with stakeholders to deeply understand mission, workflows, and system needs; turn them into architectural blueprints.

    • Design solutions that optimize performance, scale effectively, and integrate cleanly with external platforms and data sources.

    • Translate functional requirements into technical documentation including diagrams, estimates, and task lists.

    • Contribute to sprint planning, backlog grooming, and technical oversight in coordination with project management.

    • Monitor quality and consistency during development and deployment; ensure readiness for production releases.

    • Provide architectural oversight across configuration, custom development, APIs, data migration, and automation tools.

    • Coach technical teammates and help build internal best practices around scalable Salesforce solutioning.

    What You Bring

    • Minimum 5 years of hands-on Salesforce experience, including designing and building solutions for nonprofits using NPSP or Nonprofit Cloud.

    • Strong knowledge of platform capabilities: declarative automation, Apex/LWC, security, API integrations, and data modeling.

    • Prior experience leading technical delivery on implementation or transformation projects within nonprofits or human services preferred.

    • Excellent communication and facilitation skills-able to guide clients through complex decisions with clarity and confidence.

    • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and modern SDLC practices.

    • Salesforce certifications highly desired (such as Application Architect, Nonprofit Cloud Consultant, Platform Developer I/II).
