    Business Development Manager | Mid-market ERP | $250k OTE

    Australia, New South Wales, Sydney

    • A$120,000 to A$150,000 AUD
    • Sales Role
    • Skills: Sales - ERP, Sales, SMB Sales, Mid-market, Microsoft, NetSuite,
    • Seniority: Mid-level

    Job description

    Build your career where business strategy meets technology.

    This is your opportunity to:
    * Join a consulting business with access to one of Australia's most engaged mid-market client networks.
    * Work directly with an accomplished Business Development Director and accelerate your career in enterprise technology consulting.
    * Sell business outcomes across cloud ERP, digital transformation, managed services and AI-enabled business improvement.
    * Build your own market across Australia, with no geographic restrictions or inherited sales patch.
    * Help shape a growing commercial function where your ideas, initiative and contribution will genuinely influence the future of the business.

    Most sales roles ask you to inherit a territory; this role gives you the opportunity to build a market.

    Our client is a growing technology consulting business helping organisations across Australia modernise through cloud ERP, digital transformation and business process improvement.

    Clients are not looking for another software vendor. They are looking for a trusted adviser who understands the commercial challenges behind technology decisions and can help them improve productivity, strengthen operations and prepare for the future.

    Working alongside experienced consultants, you will introduce clients to solutions across:

    * Cloud ERP (Oracle NetSuite and Microsoft Dynamics 365)
    * Technology and business transformation
    * Managed services
    * Data and business intelligence
    * Systems integration
    * AI-enabled business improvement
    * Strategic technology advisory

    Every engagement starts with understanding the client's business. Technology is part of the solution. Commercial outcomes are the objective.

    Join a business with a genuine competitive advantage.

    Our client is embedded in one of Australia's most respected accounting and business advisory networks, providing access to thousands of established relationships across Australia's SME and mid-market sector.

    These relationships create opportunities that extend well beyond traditional software sales. Business owners, CEOs and CFOs are increasingly seeking advice on technology strategy, operational improvement and digital transformation from advisers they already trust.

    For an ambitious Business Development Manager, this represents a unique platform to build long-term client relationships across Australia.

    You'll inherit opportunity, not legacy.

    The commercial function is entering an exciting new phase of growth.

    Rather than stepping into a mature sales organisation, you'll join at a time when new processes, modern tooling and disciplined pipeline management are being established to support the next stage of the business.

    You won't inherit someone else's territory or spend months untangling an existing account base. Instead, you'll have the freedom to build relationships across Australia, create your own market and help shape how the business develops its commercial capability.

    Learn from an exceptional mentor.

    Reporting directly to one of Australia's pioneers in AI RevOps; you'll work alongside a leader whose career spans global SaaS vendors, tier-one professional services firms and hyper-growth technology businesses.

    You'll gain direct exposure to how consulting opportunities are created, developed and won, while learning how AI can enhance both sales performance and customer outcomes.

    If you're naturally curious and want to accelerate your career by learning from someone who has built high-performing commercial teams, this is an exceptional opportunity.

    What you'll be doing.

    Build and manage a national business development pipeline.
    * Identify organisations undergoing growth, operational change or technology transformation.
    * Develop relationships with business owners, CEOs, CFOs and senior executives.
    * Generate opportunities through outbound activity, referrals, networking and strategic partnerships.
    * Work with consultants and solution specialists to develop tailored client solutions.
    * Maintain disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
    * Contribute to the continued evolution of the sales process, tooling and go-to-market strategy.
    * Use AI and modern sales technology to improve research, preparation and productivity.

    Who we're looking for.

    You may currently be working as a:

    * Business Development Representative
    * Sales Development Representative
    * Account Development Representative
    * Inside Sales Representative
    * Junior Business Development Manager
    * Early-career Account Executive

    More important than your job title is your mindset.

    We're looking for someone who is commercially curious, disciplined and ambitious. Someone who enjoys understanding how businesses operate, asks thoughtful questions and wants to build long-term relationships with senior decision makers.

    Previous experience selling ERP, accounting SaaS, technology or professional services will be highly regarded, but your attitude, curiosity and drive will be just as important.

    Why join now?

    Australian businesses are entering one of the most significant periods of technological change in decades.

    Demand for cloud ERP, digital transformation and AI-enabled business improvement continues to accelerate, creating exceptional opportunities for advisers who can help organisations navigate change with confidence.

    Our client combines specialist technology expertise, trusted business relationships and the agility to deliver tailored solutions to Australia's SME and mid-market sector.

    If you're looking for the next step in your career, there has never been a better time to join.

    Ready to build something meaningful?

    If you're looking for another software sales role, there are plenty to choose from.

    If you're looking for a career in technology consulting, where you'll help organisations solve meaningful business challenges, build relationships across Australia and play a genuine role in shaping a growing commercial function, we'd like to hear from you.
